Has anyone seen Spiderman 3? I've heard so many things about it (good and bad) and I'm off to see it tonight. Any pointers on how to go into this?

New Bill Passed By House

Read more about it here, but here is my summary:

A new bill was passed by the House to add motives of sexuality, gender, and gender identity to the list of motives that can be qualified as a hate crime. This would join race, color, country of origin, and religion in the list of hate crime motives. Some conservatives are upset about this because this could be used to numb us to homosexuality and any religious beliefs that it is wrong.

Here is my take on it:

Great. I'm all for this. I think that if you commit a crime because of a hate for that person, it should be a hate crime. So if you hate someone and kill them, that should be a hate crime, and should be treated as such. I don't see what adding motives of sexuality and all that jazz to the list has to do with anything. Sure, I see how this can pave the way for more gay friendly bills and laws that can obtrude my personal beliefs and what God tells us about homosexuality, but this in itself is fine. Being against this bill is non-Christian, the people who are trying to stop it.

We are taught as Christians that we should love others, especially "the least of these." Supporting this bill may be contrary to Conservative beliefs, but Christians (who greatly make up the Republican party and subscribers to Conservatism) should follow their religions over a party's dislike for any bill helping gays.

So really, I see no reason why this bill shouldn't be passed. It is protecting people; which, believe it or not, gays are. So suck up this whole "follow the party's beliefs" crap and start supporting what's right: people. This should hit especially hard for those Christians out there who are taught to love everyone.

Libertarian’s Make Me Laugh

So, I found this blog called "To The People" and it is an amazing humor site, although I don't know if it's supposed to be.

I first came across it while looking for the new Diet Mountain Dew commercial with the window puppets and the S.W.A.T. team. I thought it was funny. Leonardo thought it had a great Libertarian message. I thought he was stupid. That was basically the chain of events. I think you should read it. Laugh at it. Then tell them they are stupid and why.

I Thought This Whole Thing Was Over!

So, who else thought the "I was touched by a Catholic priest" thing had stopped? Yeah, apparently not. Now, I'm completely ok with people who actually were molested saying something: more power to ya. But this going to reopen that can of worms where money hungry people sue with no evidence hoping for a settlement. This will be fun!

I Stand Corrected

I did find something to post about: This, right here. This is disgusting. In case you didn't read it and expected me to summarize, here you are:

Sarah Silverman apparently finds it funny to make fun of God. In her show's season finale she had a sketch where she had sex with God and during the "passion" He says "Who made you, monkey? Who created you?"

It doesn't even bother me (if I understand it correctly) that she portrayed God as black. I honestly don't care because God doesn't have a race. So fine what ever. But to do something like that, to say God had sex with someone is just ridiculous and uncalled for. I want to see Christian rise up (not violently) against this "lady" like Muslims do when people draw Muhammad. I see no excuse for such a portrayal of my Creator. I demand an apology.

You Know What?

I haven't found anything fun to post on. Everything else has been taken/over done. I could talk about how crazy B. Spears is "Oh my, she so crazy!" or about how dead Anna Nicole Smith is "Oh my, she so dead!"; but in the end, it's all over stayed its welcome. But you know what is still funny? Me neither. I'll get back to you on that one.

I Want To See...

A terrorist count. I want to know how many people our troops have killed, rather than how many of our troops have died. In fact, put them right next to each other. That'd be awesome... the we can finally see this in perspective.

Why Do I Care?

I find it hilarious that public officials seem to think that they do us wrong when they have affairs. How it affects us? I don't know. Unless they had an affair with me, with someone I love, or with someone else and me being the cheated on, I am not the one they should apologize to. Got it?

A Whole Lotta Talk

But I'd like to see the democrats actually try some of these ideas. I think that they might actually be able to pass some of this legislation and then they would at least be directly helping our enemies instead of just passively. Honestly, if we draw out now, Iraq will literally fall apart. Anyone want more dictators in power? I didn't think so.

Start Thanking Jesus!

First for dying for you. That was intense.

Now for this. He has given us a scientist that finally uses his powers for good, and not denouncing Him. This is awesome stuff and we should all hug Jesus. But seeing how Jesus isn't here physically, hug Dr. Robert Bohannon for making such a great discovery. NOW!

So... You Know What I'm Sick Of?

Terrorists. I wish they would all die in a hole. That would be nice. And save our government from having to do the work they aren't already doing! Yep. It's great that there's no more smoking near the House floor but that's important why? And why does Pelosi need a different office space? The kennel she belongs in isn't good enough? Granted, the new congress has done some terrorist fighting goodness... but it's frustrating to see all this time being wasted on things I don't care about and I don't know how many other people care about smoking near the House floor or her office space. Maybe it's just me...
